Terrible Beginning Stat Allocation- How Screwed Am I?

Hello! I'm sorry if this thread seems stupid, but I thought I'd ask some of you who are much more knowledgeable about this sort of thing about my current situation. I'm a level 51 Monk, and I'm cruising along, when I stop and think- why the hell is my STR so low? Given, I've played P99 off and on since about 2011, so my character was created years ago (Back when my knowledge of EQ Classic was extremely limited). So, I unequip all my gear to find that my base STR is 80. Not only that, but my base STA is around 80 too. Then I find that my base AGI is 95. Woops. How screwed am I in the long run? Is it re-roll level bad?

Not screwed. Unless you're a min/max neckbeard ... And even then it still won't matter.

If that extra agi makes you dodge one swipe from a dragon, it was worth it.

all 4 melee stats can become 255 regardless of how you spent them at character creation

I'm going to go the other way with this and say your character is literally unplayable. Try it. You can't log on. Oh well.

If your monk is a human, re-roll immediately to iksar, zero questions.

Otherwise I'm with Cecily and Colgate on this thread. higher agi means slightly better dodge rng. At level 60 your stats will be very good when you start getting pre-endgame to endgame gear. Especially with Velious gear now it kinda nullifies the significance of base stats. All base stats mean in Velious is how well you'll level up to 60 and seeing as how you're so close. They basically don't matter. Get better gear and start looking towards raiding. You'll be just fine.

Don't worry about it. I put 20 points in Strength, which is much stupider.

Is this known to be true? Applicable to all classes? I was under the impression that agi only increased ac and then only marginally. Any cites?

If you were level 20, sure. But by 51 you should have a lot invested in time and gear and all that. That matters more than anything. It's not like you put them in charisma. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]
