Default Tyree403 is reporting for duty! New Player!

Hey, hey, folks! I just got started playing EverQuest about a month ago now, which I haven't been playing all that much, just have a lvl 5 enchanter.

I wouldn't mind finding a group. I'm well experienced with MMOs, and I'm a great team player. I don't mind rerolling to fulfill a particular role. I mostly play as a tanky warrior class, but I wish to change up my play style a little. Let me know if you guys need more clerics, Warriors, or whatever, and I'll happily start over and choose that class.

Enchanter is a great class! If you are enjoying it, don't switch. People will always think we need more warriors and clerics, but it's really not true.

Welcome aboard! The nice thing about p99 is that there's no lack of important classes, so play what sounds fun! I encourage everyone new to roll several different class/race combos to see what you like. Most wont take too long to get into the teens, and by then you'll have an idea of what you like and what you'd rather let someone else handle.

Enchanters are a great class and lets you focus on crowd control, something that's been neutered and spread out in modern MMOs. Bard is another class unlike anything else in modern MMOs, so I suggest you try them out as well at some point.

There's plenty of people on these forums who are mostly here to help people, so don't be shy and ask questions. Check out the guild discussion for guilds, I'm not sure who the leveling guild crowd is these days but there's always a couple that will make your leveling life much easier.

Hope you enjoy yourself!

Enchanters really are great. I'd say stick with it! I can't remember the number of times where my groups have needed Clarity and crowd control. You've just scratched the surface at level 5!

Thanks! I've been contemplating on picking the rouge class instead, I do like the fact that they're the highest damage dealing class. (Well, I believe they are.) Anyway, where can I find most people? Are there any major cities out there where people hang out and group?

East Commonlands is where most people buy/sell items, it's probably the most popular zone for this reason. If you are a race that starts in Freeport, this will be very close to you. Not to mention there are many neighboring/nearby zones to work your way up through the levels in.
