Default VR EQ - Possible?

Just wondering...
Would it be possible sometime in the future to be able to recreate everquest in the new virtual reality age?

Or will a totally new game need to be made?

I think a crowdfunded EQ type game (even with older graphics) would succeed on funding , but can it be done?

Would be nice to experience even a lord of the rings type of VR MMORPG.
I'm sure we will get single players first , which will be fun in its own right.
But You can't deny that a corpse run (getting blinded) hardcore game like EQ would be very immersive if done right.

EQ Next should of listened to feedback and instead of going bankrupt they should of took a different path and went with EQ VR.
Even starting as a single player game would be awesome and later on work it into the MMO world.

I'd play it in a pvp setting for sure, especially if I can say"lightning bolt" in the LARP style [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

VR? Why would you want to? Put on a Darth Vader helm so you can follow your character in mostly 3rd person cam? Nah, I'd go for AR, augmented reality. Then I could literally have EQ on my desktop while I crush beetles.
