Boil Blood prevents Regrowth?
Never experienced this until today, but I have been gone a while and quite a few changes have been made. A mob landed Spell: Boil Blood on me, and while it was active, Spell: Regrowth would not land. It would give a successful message "You begin to regenerate". But in fact does nothing. Not sure if a bug, but thought I'd bring it to your attention incase.

Can anyone confirm this is intended? "Shit happens sometimes maybe." Not exactly the process thats normally done for things in question here. Is this for Boil Blood only? Why does it not affect the buff if it's already on if it's "not supposed to"? (Ex. Getting rooted and losing sow - good times) Should we be getting a successful cast message when in fact it does not land? It's a 300 mana 6 second cast spell. That can sometimes be the difference between life and death. Some people are really on their game with providing concrete answers on stuff like this.

If the target of your regen spell has boil blood on them you can not refresh the regen or apply it to them.
Lava Duct Crawlers (LDC) apply boil blood and this is how I learned about this. This applies to regeneration, chroloplast and regrowth or any of the group based ones. Edit: going to place this link here. as Boil Blood is not officially confirmed to be accurate on p99 in terms of Resistance Check http://www.project1999.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=228438

The spell is not Boil Blood; it's BoilING Blood. Lucy also has it as fire. However, there are many classic posts suggesting that it's MR based. Not seeing any evidence of that, though.
But relevant to this thread: "These lil spiders are pretty dangerous. Hittin between 84 to 104 in the higher hits thez cast a spell calles 'Boiling Blood' on u. The ways to get it off: 1.) Pumice stone - just revoes all u have of buffs .. newbee method. 2.) Metal wand - debuffs all u have. cheaper but also not sooooo good. 3.) cast dispell on urselves. u might hit it very fast and u will not need to recast all of ur buffs - cool method. 4.) ask for regen. this spell immediatly clears it off. if u have regen running yet it doesnt protect u. professional method." http://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/npc.html?id=3274 | ||

There's a handy little Find function in any web browser. But it's from March 2000, and a similar note is also in the main description at the top.
