![]() Regardless of damage/delay ratio, what are the fastest one-handed piercers in the game other than the pre-nerf Bixie Sword Blade?

![]() Nightfall is 9/16 from VP. Obtainable ones most likely Tombcarver or Locustlure with 17 delay.

![]() So just the shortest delay? Looking at the wiki (for Rogue-usable piercing weapons), Nightfall (drops in VP) has a delay of 16. I couldn't see any others with shorter delays if the wiki is accurate.

![]() Didn't specify hand! But Mosscovered Twig for offhand obviously, no offhand benefits to piercing.

![]() Err Barbed Scale Whip if you're talking rogues. 4/11 slasher.

![]() Yep, I just farmed myself the whip for my utility arsenal - it's awesome. I updated the Frontier Mountains Cycle Two spawns as well, in case any of you trackers want to go exploit this underfarmed spot.
I made this thread in an attempt to figure out what the best possible mainhand solutions would be for rogues w/r/t push. Obviously right off the bat it has to be a piercer, because you can still frontal stab with backstab, which means one more hit per cooldown. In most situations I'm probably going to keep Ragebringer in primary (or secondary if I'm using Thornstinger) for the effect/stats/resists, and in case I get a chance to backstab while pushing. Otherwise, there are two categories here: 1) soloing/grouping, and 2) raiding/grouping, and there are a few different choices for each depending on preference and playstyle. Nightfall is obviously the fastest mainhand piercer for rogues, followed by Locustlure and Tombcarver, and even though Nightfall and Locustlure are great utility items, their procs are essentially snap aggro spells. That's no problem while soloing, and depending on the rogue it's not much of a problem in groups either - I can take quite a beating if I pull aggro and fail to evade a couple times. In most cases, Thornstinger is still my go-to soloing weapon because of its proc. However, if you're fighting particularly beastly mobs in a group, or raiding, you probably don't want to risk stealing aggro. So I have three solutions for the raiding/grouping category: Tombcarver, Crescent Blades of Luclin, and Sebilite Croaking Dirk. There are a couple mobs in the game where the damage you do as a rogue is negligible and all you want to do is push - this could also be called the Gorenaire category. Granted, if you're lucky you can time duelist and get off a backstab even while slowed by her AoE, but it's wiser to go for more melee touches to interrupt her casting and let your nukers do the DPS. So for this fight I would sacrifice Tombcarver's slight delay advantage and use CBoL/SCD for the resists and potential backstab damage. Although, if you're good at swapping in your Ragebringer for backstabs, Tombcarver might still be a good idea. I'm probably too lazy for that, though. | ||

![]() Personally i'm using the best ratio weapons. Other people in your group can worry about pushing mobs. A rogues job is to kill the mob asap.
