Default Swimming

Hey guys,

Is there any key binding issue regarding the movement in water ?
I am fine walking around but once fell into water, I move extremely slow.

I don't remember I have such problem 15 years ago.

Any idea ? Thx

If you played an iksar way back when they started with a swimming skill of 100 which might be why you don't remember it, all other races start at 1/200 and have to skill it up.

Might I recommend the nearest friendly pond for some laps? Don't forget to put a point in it at your trainer to get from 0 to 1 if it hasn't gone up yet!

Pretty much got to put all your stuff in the bank except some food and drink, jump into a pond in your city, find a wall to swim against with your head above water, keep your Move Forward key held down with something, and go do something for several hours. (Sleep, work, school, etc.)

If ur a Barbarian, or happen to be in Everfrost, you can actually run around in circles on the frozen river on the North end of the zone and get ur swimming skill up as well. Saw this on AC gamer's (aka Demmiroo) videos leveling Barb Shaman!

Also if you're passing through West Karana you can always run along the shoreline and dip your toes in the water for some easy skill ups while maintaining a full speed run. Simple way to up your swimming skill when doing those bank runs to and from Qeynos. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]
