Default Wave of Enfeeblement Possible Issue

I'm playing an Erudite Necromancer, and whenever I cast wave of enfeeblement, I get the casting message... And nothing. There's no spell effect, there's no dialogue saying that the target has weakened, nor that it was resisted or wore off. It uses mana, and seems to act like it's been cast... But then nothing to show it has or has not actually worked.

I searched and found a reference to this back in 2011, but no response. Poster said they figured out what they were doing wrong.

I've tried it from point blank range all the way to my outer range. No difference that I can tell.

Ok - will try again after I get home from work, see if point blank, right on the mob makes a difference or not.

Yes, you were right. I wasn't point blank enough, it seems. Point Blank seems to have a wider range than I realized. Thanks!
