Default City of Mist - Mobs back by the Reaver Castle

I'm not sure if this is a bug but it is something that appears to have changed recently and I'm not sure if it was supposed to? A few days back I was soloing the mobs back by the castle in CoM (the area in red on the attached map), of which I believe there are 16 spawns. Throughout the 3+ hours I was there I encountered tons of pathing issues, which have been talked about at length but I never saw any mobs other than Fog/Vapor Golems pop. Today I went back there and at least half of the mobs in that area are now undead (a phantom, an apparition, a plaguebone skeleton, etc).

I'll be the first to admit that I didn't spend a whole lot of time in CoM leveling, but I did have to spend a fair amount of time there doing my epic as a Shaman and I don't remember those spawns being anything other than golems (and it would seem odd that over the course of 3+ hours I would only ever see vapor/fog golems if undead mobs could pop in their place as well). I don't know of site that would tell me what spawn points could spawn what mobs, so unfortunately I don't know if I can find logged evidence supporting this, but, if this was an intentional change does anybody else remember that area being golems only?
