Default Gnoll Teeth

I've read about turning them in at Halas and Qeynos, is there a difference in exp in P1999? Also when is a good level to start turning them in, I'm almost level 8 and just keep grinding away getting them (about 45 or so now).

Turn in whenever (now's pretty good, you can survive the trip to Halas if you wanted), exp is good for both, but you need 3 fangs a turn-in for Halas vs 1 for Qeynos. Qeynos also gets you a moonstone, which can be used for a second faction quest for cleric/pally guilds (all positive hits). Drawback is enough gnoll fangs in Qeynos'll wreck your corrupt guard and Qeynos rogue guild factions, while Halas is all positive hits.

I don't think I care about Qeynos faction.. unless I need it down the road? I was more just looking for the experience. Seems like Halas is greedy 3:1, I hope they give more exp. I am bound there so it would be much easier, I'm farming on Halas side.

I just want to add some info to help avoid confusion.
Gnoll teeth quest xp was better during Classic through the first half-ish of kunark. The amount of xp you recieve got nerfed pre-velious.
Meaning before you got more xp. Now you still get xp but it's less than it was before.

(This is atleast true for Qeynos)

I had read that, which isn't great but it's ok because the gnolls are dark blue mostly anyway so either way it's a good hunting spot for me.

Kill gnolls til they get green. Which is around 11. Then go turn them in, you will still get a decent chunk of exp. the 1-20 guide is a great guide. It should be at the top of the list when googling it.

True for Halas too. I just leveled a rogue out of there. The exp is still good and worth doing at relevant levels, but it is not as good as it used to be. I believe it was nerfed to stop higher level toons from monopolizing Black Burrow, who were just there for the teeth. That's how I recall it, but could be wrong.

Fangs are better exp in Qeynos than Halas by a lot, simply because its 1 v 3 on the turn-in. I'd go now if I were you, the exp drop off really starts around 12 or so, but if you have 40 some fangs you should easily get another level+1/2 or so, plus the moonstone quest will grant even more exp. although at your level, not that much.

This quest is best started for repeated turn ins around 6 or 7. 11 is a little late, you should have been well past 11 by now had you turned in before now.

The old guide was to get 300 fangs by 11. Then 11-20 turn in the fangs. I'm not talking a few stacks.

They did nerf it but people still do it occasionally. Although the preferred method is warrens now a days. As even though ya an amazing zone people just don't go but I digress.

Yeah it was for sure nerfed, and I knew that going in. What I didn't realize is BB is a maze of up and down if you don't know the zone well. I'm done with it, it got me to 11.5 level and now I'm off to my next area, whatever that is (right now running around Karana)
