Hey guys, I just started the game and I'm completely lost, never played the game before so I have no idea what I should be doing, how to pick quest or whatever, any help would be appreciated[You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]!

Hello Egs^^,

As a monk you mostly punch things. You may also kick things ^^ In Everquest, you don't really pick up quests. You may speak to a NPCs by targeting them, pressing "h" to "Hail" them and then conversing by typing various strings of text in response to [trigger words], which are bracketed for easer early quests.

To complete quests, you only need to retrieve the items request. There are never more than 4 for a single quest and the items are returned the same way they would be traded to a player by left clicking it to pick it up with God cursor and then left clicking the not to open a trade/give window. Other items may then be added to the empty trade window slots if the nod has requested more than one item.

In general, as a newbie you're going to want to kill things for experience and loot their bodies for things to sell. Early on you want to use money either for spells (if you're a spell caster) or for weapons (if you're a melee class). Best weapons will be bought from other players, and the place to do that is in East Commonlands next to the city of Freeport. Some items, like pelts and bone chips, are much more lucrative to sell to other players.
