Default Returning to Norrath

Hey everyone,

I used to played EQ1 from 2001 to 2005 and EQ2 until about 2009, my main in either was named "Longfellow". Gnome wizard on the Tunare server in EQ1, gnome mage in EQ2. Also played some alts in EQ1, all on the Tunare server, "Movies" gnome rogue, "Ezekiiel" high elf paladin, and "Guilligans" wood elf druid. Hopefully I'll run into some old friends on here.

So I just recently found out about P99 and started up a couple characters a few days ago and I'm absolutely (re)hooked. I can't believe it has been 8 years since I set foot in Norrath and I didn't realize how much I missed it all, especially the old school EQ. Pre-Luclin was always my favorite and to find this dedicated to that game play is amazing.

I'm focusing on my warrior for now and giving a whole new class a try. He is a dwarf with a jacked up face and his name is "Valyriann", planning the Surname Cannister. Get it? Tyrion Lannister, Valyriann Cannister...cuz I'm a plate wearing dwarf, and basically a walking trash can. I'll show myself out...

Anyway, any help would be appreciated, even vendor trash gear is better than most of the like 1AC stuff I bought from vendors. But even tips about popular zones to group up through some lower levels would help, I'm surprised how hard it can be to find a group. A buff if ya see me, any words of encouragement and new friendships are always a blessing too.

Hope to see you guys out there and as always, good hunting.

Welcome back to EQ!

If you're looking for early grouping you might consider a boat ride over to Freeport. There's pretty regular groups at the orc camps in EC, I think around level 8 or something. Even before then people selling stuff at the tunnel are usually pretty willing to buff up newbie adventurers.

Trust me, done and done, turned in too many to count. Heading over to Antonica to see what it has to offer.

Any suggestions on a guilds looking for good people and good times?
