There ARE good Tippers
I hate to rehash this, but it proves my point from a few weeks ago. Just now did a port from EC tunnel to GD. A dwarven cleric by the name of "TrustMe". An awakened member just tipped me 80+PP. Didnt say a damn thing to him prior to port other then telling him where to find me. Gave him the customary SOW, and a LEVI as he was going to GD.
I port, I do it quickly and I know the topography and or KOS threat of where I am porting to. Oh, and I'm not guild tagged. FWIW. The tips come in. Sweet and to the point. TrustMe...Thanks for showing the warm heart of the general populous on this server. | ||

I take the boats. All a Shadowknight needs is Gather Shadows and Feign Death.

What is the standard accepted tip from a lvl 30? That's my main's lvl, and in the past I've always tipped 50p because that's what I heard was expected, but it's too expensive for me, and has actually discouraged me from getting ports because I don't wanna be a cheap ass and make someone angry. I do have need for a lot of ports though. For example, I recently started lvling an Iksar Necromancer, and my main is a 30 ranger. I want to buy some cheap necro gear, but I have no way of safely delivering it without getting a port. I only have about 1.3k on my ranger, and that is the result of a few weeks worth of lvling on mammoths in Everfrost. I obviously can't afford to buy gear, AND throw around 50p every time I need a port.

1pp per level used to be the accepted standard. Apparently carrying gems/enough plat to tip is too onerous for most however. Standard tips these days seems more like a flat 20-30p.
