Hi there. Ever since I started reading about Project 1999, I was intrigued. Like most early EQ players, the nostalgia bug still hits me from time to time (especially when witnessing firsthand the shortcomings of recent MMOs).

This server interests me both because of it's popularity and it's mission, but I have one worry to confront before I dive in head-first. Is there going to be enough content for everyone to enjoy themselves, especially as the server becomes more popular?

I noticed some recent issues with raid rotations already, so that seems like a bit of a troublesome issue for someone like myself who might end up being a more active player. It just seems to make sense that, with the hindsight we have today, the content would be cleared faster than back in 1999-2000. And unlike later EQ times, there won't be quite as much guild disparity - no even spread of guilds over multiple expansions worth of content (with a couple guilds fighting over the top of course).

I can see this not being as much of an issue in Velious, where the endgame is much more wide-open. However, until then, is this going to be something worth worrying about for a new player with raiding aspirations?

There will be just as much content as there was back in the day with a smaller population. Once more raid zones open the top tier guilds will move into them opening up some of the lower tier raids for other guilds. History repeats as they say. It happened this way back in the day and aside from GM interference (cough cough rotation is bullshit cough cough) it will be as it was back then.

If your gonna be that active then join the top guilds and get in the raids you want to be in.
