Default Invulnerable Mummies

At level 12 I started soloing red con ghouls and yellow/white con mummies in nro right through until level 14 (as a necro). When I hit 14 I gated back to EC to sell all my stuff, and now that I've come back and started agro kiting undead again suddenly the mobs are invulnerable to my pets attacks when they weren't before. Are they supposed to be invulnerable to melee attacks or not? Is it down to what level my pet is when i summon it?

Most likely because the pet you summoned was at the earliest level when its attacks become magical

When you came back you summoned a lower level pet

That's my guess

Yeah I thought it was probably something to do with the level of my pet but wanted to be 100% sure before I started wasting precious bone chips for nothing :P. Thanks!

Yeah, wasn't that much effort to do whilst medding! Being a total newbie to p1999 and still wearing my cloth armor, saving bone chips is worth the finger energy of typing a question out :P

if your pet can hit magic only creatures without a weapon, giving him rusty won't change that. The only real reason to give a skeleton weapons is for double attack at 16 and dual wielding at 29
