Effects of turning in Tome of Discord.

Some friends of mine and I are considering rerolling alts to play in the hours we can all be on at the same time. Considering being all evil races and get a somewhat "isolated" and fresh start. Not wanting to go so far as to play on Red, but we are considering just going red on our regular p99 server. Can anyone explain fully all of the effects of this? Basically, can you still trade in EC, etc. I know we'll be on our own which is what we want, but curious of tge full details. Thanks.

From what I've heard, and let me say, this is unconfirmed.

You will only be able to interact with other "red" players. Can't get buffs, or ports, or trade, from what I've been told. Though it would be easy to test, I've never tried.

Thanks for the response. Just now got all of our pcs set up so I think we will try it out. Really fond of the isolated aspect but having a trio. Thanks again.

This is correct. I helped a newb who accidentally turned in his tome clear his flag, and in order to do so I flagged myself first so I could HB him. How else could I get a level 3 from Neriak to Qeynos?

A red player cannot receive buffs or heals or be ported by a blue player, but they can get a rez, oddly enough.

As for trading, I think that can still happen.

Thats kinda what we were thinking. Really dig the isolation aspect but have it for a trio. Just now got everyones pcs up and running so maybe we'll try it. Thanks for the info.

GMs can unflag you if you change your minds ^^

If you willingly turn in your book I think they will tell you to go get a book and change it back yourself.

They'll usually just unflag you because reversing it requires you run all the way to Qeynos to talk to the Priest of Order.

Hrm. The guy I helped said he had petitioned and was told "too bad". Hence why I ran him to Qeynos to the Priest of Order...

Whatever - it was a fun time. He died a lot so I eventually gave up and just dragged his corpse and rezzed before the 5 min timer or w/e expired. I think that's how we crossed WK. My recollection of the event is a bit fuzzy... Maybe I should stop drinking so many mint juleps.
