We have reports of this mq being bugged and the wiz epic going to the char that hands in the gnarled staff. Let us know how this goes for you. Maybe it's been fixed.

My first MQ failed, did it again and it worked. Awakened has a bias towards Awarding to a Wiz at the kill but we I think we still do MQ if necessary.
Also I apologize not commenting on the viability of this sale or value. Just chiming in as everyone else has.
