New to p99, total newb to Cabilis SK guild.

So I got my beginner kukri from turning in the note and jumped through the portals already to get to the bottom. Then I realized the lizard to talk to was up at the top.

And.. I haven't the faintest clue of how to jump from the ladder to that platform. Jumping then running does nothing, and walking off the ladder doesn't work for me either. Am I missing something?

Sorry no one responded to you faster. It takes a bit of practice, and I'm sure you've gotten it by now, but in case someone else sees this, here goes:

Climb to the top of the ladder by looking up. Then, turn around from on top of the ladder. While facing the platform, push jump and then once you are in the air, push the forward movement key.

You'll catch on the ledge and you should be on the platform.
