Strengthen Death Duration?

Level 29 Shadow Knight only pet buff spell, Strengthen Death.
I was wondering if a GM might be able to answer the question about how long this spell actually lasts? The reason I ask is because the wiki has two different duration descriptions which are grossly different. 4-7 minutes or 1 hour!

"Fills your pet with rage, giving it increased attack speed, armor class, and strength for 1 hour."

"Duration 3.9 minutes @L29 to 7.5 minutes @L65"

This is important to know, because if it is 4 - 7 minutes, then it is going to take up a permanent spell gem to keep pet buffed. It takes a very long time to memorize this spell, so removing it and re-memorizing it every few minutes is not feasible.

4min or so, I think it got useful during luclin when they changed to 1h or so...

It's short. But also, a 29 SK pet is like level 12 necro pet or something. It's prob not worth your mana to haste it.

My sk is twinked with about 100k in gear, and I still find a pet extremely useful for solo especially a max one. Get a mage focus item for reclaims. The extra bashes are nice, and it’s basically a free dot if it’s a max to near max pet. Also at 39 the max pet will dual wield which starts to be even more noticeable damage. SKs do not have gem slot struggles, strengthen death is a nice one to have.

The pet is definitely great to have... But that haste doesn't justify the mana or the spell gem use tbh...

50 mana for 4-6.5 min duration is considered an unjustified mana cost? If you’re in a situation where you’re really using your pet, spell gems availability should not be an issue. I’d absolutely use this 100%.

I don't think I'd use it pre 45ish. But after that if soloing or someone else is pulling in group, sure.

Valid point, I didn’t really start using until the max lvl pet from the 39 spell that would dual wield with weapons.

Definitely a worthy spell though IMO. I’ve never felt pressed for spell gems on my sk or pally.

Look at it this way, when used on the top pet (the level 58 pet) Strengthen Death will do similar damage per minute as Boil Blood, but for a fraction of the mana expended. The spell is usually not worth using right away because the level 30 and (mostly) 39 pets are so bad. Don't forget you have the spell later on once the pets improve.

I can usually spare the spell gem in a solo situation where I'll use the spell. I can't spare it in groups, but in a group you should have someone else to haste the pet, if it's even out.
