EQ on chromebook

Does anyone know how to get p1999 on a chromebook without dual booting? Maybe, with the new linux option where you do not have to dual boot? I have read every post on this, from what I can find, and it all only uses dual booting. I have tried these anyway, in the linux option to no prevail. The closest I have gotten was getting playonlinux on my chromebook, but it won't just crashes every time after I complete all of the steps. Does anyone have an idea on how too do this?
