Crashes - Yes I read the FAQ

Yes I read the FAQ and the link to the thread where you are supposed to post is a dead link. So ...

I can load fine and play fine but since kunark opened on green I just rando freeze and crash now in addition to locking up about 60% of the time when loggin and trying to swap characters or log out.

windows 10
Nvidia 1660 Ti
32 ram
plenty of hardware
drivers up to date
Titanium Launcher
etc ...

Very frustrating as I have been waiting to play my beloved Iksar master race god for a while and now ... bleh.

Was in LOIO on my ikky necro and killing mobs and rando crashed again for the 3 time in under an hour, wasn't even zoning ...

Any tips? Thanks

Also, crashing on camping is usually resolved by setting compatibility on eqgame.exe to XP SP2 or SP3.

Don't listen to the post above. It won't help. Connect your computer to your phones hotspot, start the game and see if the issue still happens. Report back.

I was having a similar issue a week or two ago. Completely randomly, the screen would freeze, although there was still background sound and the game continued to go. I would have to /quit out and reload. It could happen once in an hour or once in ten minutes. I tried all of the suggestions that I could find on the forums including editing the eqclient.ini to change the refresh rate to 60, altering window size to be consistent amongst the options, trying WinEQ 2.0, dgVoodoo2 and finally I stumbled on froomee's suggestion from another post.

If I put wined3d.dll and d3d8.dll in the EQ folder (C:\EverQuest for me) and run the client itself (without WinEQ 2.0), I now no longer get any crashes. My eqclient.ini reads:

Height=960
WidthWindowed=1280
HeightWindowed=960
WindowedWidth=1280
WindowedHeight=960
FullscreenBitsPerPixel=32
FullscreenRefreshRate=60
WinEQWidth=1280
WinEQHeight=960

Also if your screen freezes and you still hear background sounds from the game you can alt + enter and it will fix that issue.

Have tried all of these, except the phone tether, and nothing works. Still crashes randomly while running around LoIO. VERY annoying

Okay ... 8 hours later of messing with this crap client in an attempt to get this to run. My p99 return has come to an end. So done fukin with this BS. GL all
