Default Possible Community Event: A "Dungeon Romp"

This is sort of a spinoff of the "How do Wizards get into dungeons" thread I made recently.

What would you guys think of a regular "dungeon romp" community event that would be officially scheduled and organized? It would be for a specific dungeon with a narrow range of levels. The listing would say something like "Solusek's Eye (SolA) Dungeon Romp, Levels 25-30" at soandso time on soandso date. That way folks who aren't as well connected can have a chance to come together for a community event and do something fun like this, they can prepare themselves mentally and we would know when we're coming together.

There are a couple of issues with this that I would need to work out; namely, dungeons in EQ aren't really built for romping. Our mid-20s group is going to run into problems at some point with the 35+ mobs that are probably in there. We would need to be careful planning out a route and it will likely end in us setting up a camp somewhere in the dungeon. We would make it a point to help folks through the dungeon for specific things they might need such as quest items.

Then there's the issue of...I really don't know any of the dungeons personally. So without much experience I might have a hard time leading folks through, and I don't really know what any of the camps are for most places.

Finally, what does one do if, say, a scheduled event is overrun by a crowded dungeon? I've seen SolA with like 30 people on Green before as an example. Can such an event go through under those conditions?

All in all though I think this could be a good contribution to the community. I think I can bring myself to run something like this. What do you guys think?
