Being a bard
Hey all, lovin the experience here so far, I've had the pleasure of meeting a few wonderful individuals so far.
Cantaa who decked me out in bardly attire when inquiring where the guild was on logging on...lol! and Jeta who gave me some tips about bards in general. Both of em have said we're broke but manageable. I've read thoroughly the problems with the class and am willing to stick it out I think but wouldn't mind some more input. Are the problems enough to keep me from quad+ kiting and charm soloing come kunark/velious does anyone think? That might be my overall determining factor because it's a large part of what I'm looking forward to. Also does anyone know if the issues are completely unable to be resolved or if it's planned to be fixed in time? I want to be a bard so bad but if it's as bad as some say then I'm not sure it's worth leveling all the way vs complete investment in another class...anyway thanks for putting this together. Love the community so far, can't wait to get in deeper! Vaelin | ||

Not trying to be snarky or anything, just genuinely curious as I've never played a bard or a druid past lvl 10. One thing I've heard multiple times is "I can't quad kite! OH NOOZ!" why exactly is this considered "broken" if nobody else other than with AE's can kill 2+ mobs at a time? I just don't understand it. Or is that it, other casters can ae & hit 4+ mobs but for some reason bard's ae can't? is that the deal?

My bard seems fine.
The fact that you don't get the miss a note message just means you need to pay more attention to other things while playing. Mages are OP on this server, if anything's broken it's the nerf bat when it comes to that class. Not that I advocate nerfs but mages should be thankful they have what they do instead of complaining. Could be a lot worse.

They should be thankful.. Every mage should read this:
