The entire Casey Anthony trial has been nothing more than reality TV at its best. What people fail to realize is that this kind of sick shit happens all the time. Except the mothers are usually minorities, so they're not as popular for the television ratings as a single white mother from middle class America that was raised in a good home.
On top of that, realistically this bitch is guilty of murdering her daughter. The only reason she's not getting put to death is because she could actually afford a decent lawyer, and her legal bills for that are probably running close to $500,000 if not more for the how many years Jose Baez has been defending her. Our Judicial system is actually fucked up beyond all belief. Throw some niglet in Casey Anthony's seat with a public defender and I would bet my life on her getting convicted and sentenced to death. Granted the media in this country depicts every single suspect of high profile trials as guilty before a verdict is even read, and that definitely influences most people more than hard evidence itself, having more money to actually defend yourself in a court makes all the difference in the world.

Epic fail on the part of our justice system. Maybe if they didn't have the jury full of housewives and morons the verdict would have been different.

In my opinion, the verdict is correct.
There was not enough evidence to prove w/out any doubt that she did it... Yes there was loads of circumstantial...but nothing ever tied her to it. Plus neither the defense nor the prosecution was able to define cause of death....hence "not guilty" by resonable doubt plain and simple....minus the charge of lying to the police....which she was guilty. Do I believe she was involved...hell yeah I believe she was...but that's not what they were trying her for now was it... Now get ready for this....she already pretty much served her time...so she will get out in about 3 to 6 months for the one guilty verdict. It is my understanding the max she can get on that count is 4 years...and she already served over 3 in custody during the trial... What's even more wrong is she will probably be killed in prison by someone who wants the credit...or by some fanatic once she gets out...sad story all the way around. | ||

Not to mention her life is basically ruined anyway. The majority of the public views her as guilty, mostly because the majority of the public is retarded and doesn't understand the legal system.
I would say the media is to blame more than anything else for depicting her as guilty before a verdict was ever read. This incident will follow her for the rest of her life, and anytime she goes anywhere people will always remember her as the mom that killed her kid and got off on reasonable doubt issues.
