![]() If anyones idea actually works, i will reward you with 1k pp.
My brother was the one who originally got me into Everquest back in 2002. During his time on the game- he played only the Fironia Vie server. As you know, thats a Role play server, and you were allowed only (1) character per account on the server. Many of you might mistake that for a server full of /roleplay players, but that wasnt the case, it was actually different. I really don't know how to explain it exactly unless you've Roleplayed Characters in Chatrooms like the ones back at WBS.net in 1996-1999. My brother liked to play a character that best represented the character he would role play in chatrooms. That was a Rogue. Now a days, i think he plays World Of War... crafted breastplate. He did spend a lot of time on the server and had a good guild called "Clan of Brothers" which had a sister guild called "Clan of Sisters" and an enemy guild called "Lust for Blood" The last time i mentioned Everquest, he said he had moved on to better games. In addition to that, he didn't seem to care much about a classic EQ server. I'm heading over to his apartment today. Maybe i'll take my copy of Titanium and try to convince him. But i would like ideas from the community. I don't have any buddies in P99 that ever want to Farm/Camp/Quest things, i usually have to ask the guild im in but it usually doesn't work. Think you have an idea on how i can get my bro to play EQ again? feel free to offer an idea.

![]() Some "remember the time xxxxxx".
Offer items of course, esp cool ones that are class only. PL to maybe lvl 20 if possible. Make sure it is something you pair well together. You could even start a new char with him both twinked up.

![]() Depending on his play style, he might just not care to come here... regardless of whether he cares about the game mechanics.
The P99 experience is vastly different from the old live Firiona Vie experience... and Clan of Brothers / Circle of Sisters affiliation implies a heavy (and relatively serious) roleplay preference which on this server is not and never will be present. Roleplay lite, and roleplay silly are as good as it gets here; and even these are rare. This more a place for the FnF / Reso crowd. But, it's a heck of a lot of fun!

Mix it in with some old school screenshots on a smartphone etc and you've got him in the bag. One thing though. When he logs in and starts leveling, he's going to feel like it's taking alot longer than it did back in the day. Assure him this feeling is normal, and make sure to toss him some plat every once in a while for those "zomgineedthisiteminECnow!" moments.

![]() Honestly, the best thing you can do is just say "hey man, if you wanna get started i'll twink you out and set you up with titanium - i'd love for us to play together again" and leave it at that unless he wants to talk about it further.
Even if you convince people to play, if they really don't have any desire to play they won't last long or really have fun doing it.

![]() Ask to install it on his computer so you can 'show him' project 1999 and run him around a few areas that you used to play in. Leave it on his computer and tell him how to get an account. Then once in a while when you go over to his place show him something else you've seen or done since you were there last. If he is interested enough to eventually play, he should be interested enough to have you show him stuff you are doing.
