"The charred gems needed (Ruby and Pearl) are found off undead noble in Bar room of unrest (good luck getting it). I have not found any information on what drops the Charred Wood Wand or Charred Dagger in Mistmoore. I have been there a few times and no one knows. How about you?" - From 2000.

It appears these gems should drop from then female noble as per Zam

Though I don't know if Charred Wood Wand was ever in the game.

Also, the Sphere of Unrest clearly drops on live, but it isn't clear if it dropped in classic or if this was fixed later. As far as I can tell, it doesn't drop here.

For this, Charred Dagger seems like a random drop from various mobs, but potentially just the Carrion Ghouls. It doesn't seem to drop here. It's not clear when it was in game.

Likewise, the Ebon Dagger and the Ebon Wand seem like random or off of only dry bones in Unrest. It's not 100% clear when it came into the game.

Due to at least one of the items coming from Plane of Fear, it could be that the quests should be added in July 1999.

Wow ok. I guess no one has ever tried to do these quests.

I'm adding a July1999 spawn date to the quest givers, as it seems they were added to help with an alternate way of obtaining research components. If an earlier date is found, please let us know.
