Tech Issue: Sky and Weather

Since the EQ11 changes, I have experienced only black sky and the "sun" is a huge purple glowing orb in the sky. Is there anyway to get back the sky? Oh and even on the character log in screen the sky is black. I have no weather either. I hear thunder but do not see rain nor lightning.

Any help to resolve this issue is greatly appreciated.

your options in displays tab shows Sky Type as off? simple or complex?

Simple and complex yields the same results. Though simple everything is just black. Complex gives me the huge ass purple orb in the sky.

*Edit* None of the recent updates v12 have fixed this issue.

Sounds like a video card driver issue to me. Have you updated any drivers (or not updated for a while)?

in the last few days i have had issue with my gfx card and had to plug my monitor into my motherboard temporarily while i fix it and even with updated drivers to the factory gfx of my computer the sky has not changed leading me to believe it has something to do with some file in my EQ folder?

this is what i am currently seeing, its supposed to be the moon as its AM game time but both the moon and sun are the same big purple ball with black sky

the ss is with complex selected, simple yields no changes but off makes everything just a normal black haze or "fog of war" type effect on the sky

might mention never had this issue on any other server until i started playing here and recently tested it on other servers and having the same issue on them

also, i started july 14th and dont remember if it was like this then or not but i did just arrive before eqchangesv11.zip so possibly related to that patch? if i get bored ill try reinstalling EQ and see if that fixes the issue
