Summoning of Fear quest in Feb2000.

This is a named Skeleton with a pet, that has started spawning since the expansion opened. It's located in the small ruined shrine right by the east Derv camp in SRO. I believe he is part of a new quest, for he cons Indifferent. Hailing him results in a message stating that you should leave, for this is no place for the living. No words in [] are given, and nothing resulted from more talking or giving of items. Probably a necromancer by the spells he casts. The pet conned blue to me at lvl 19, and Obretl was red, so I'm not sure of his level. Any more info on what his purpose is would be helpful.

sirenix is right. he's been spawning since paineel opened. the charred bone chips are for a paineel cleric quest.

I spent the ENTIRE weekend at the sunken tower in South Ro [-350, -250] looking for this guy. I spent 8 hours on Friday, 17 hours on Saturday, and 11 hours today there. There's usually a crypt mummy, ghoul, or dry bone skeleton that spawn there. Supposedly this is where he spawns. However, I spent all that time there and he never popped once. I mean, 17 hours straight. Spawn time there is exactly 25 minutes for his spot. I would classify Obretl as super-ultra-uber-crazy-rare spawn. The only thing that I can determine is that there MUST be some placeholder for him that IS NOT JUST the mob that spawns in there.
So, whoever has successfully killed this guy has either gotten REALLY lucky or knew what his true PH was. Somebody, anybody, please help!

On P99 Obretl cons indifferent but does not offer any hail text.
A variation on the above hail response:

He cons indifferent, and will tell you "this place is not for the living, get out!" or some such, if you hail him.

On P99 Obretl's spawnpoint is on the standard zone timer. As seen above, it appears to have had a longer timer.

The Truth about Obretl

There is no trigger spawn for Obretl, having killed every single undead creature in South Ro and having Sense the Dead detect nothing at times. The fact is Obretl won't spawn if one of his placeholders in the undead tower are in his place. The spawn time there is eight Norrath hours, and the chances of it being Obretl are /random 1 100. Furthermore the undead there will not despawn, perhaps having something to do with the ancient cyclops at 8 PM( but I must have killed every single type of undead there, from a crypt mummy to a ghoul, so I seriously doubt that's the case unless Obretl himself is who you are suppose to kill at 8 PM, but I sure didn't wait till 8 PM to find out)Having camped him for seven hours, I finally had him spawn when I was about to camp and go to bed. Dropped two bronze daggers and the bone chips you need for the Cleric Quest in Paineel, which I had my human Priest of Bertoxxulous loot. Next stop, Lesser Faydark!

I believe eight Norrath hours = 24 minutes.
