I found this archive of the bestiary entry for this mob on Everlore from July 8th, 2001 and it has some interesting things in it: https://web.archive.org/web/20010708...4766&mode=show
The page calls him "Guard of Takish" but the description for the mob is "He gives a Quest for Knights and Templars if hailed. Also, he's only KoS to evil races and classes." so this is definitely the right mob. In the comments on this page: Quote:
I went ahead and tested how much he hits for on live EQ, I took all of my gear off (no heroic stamina at all so zero mitigation) and spammed sit while being hit by him to see what his max hit was, and lo and behold: [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.] He indeed hits for around 180. This lines up with the above comment from 2001. That comment got his HP wrong, though. I think the 200k HP he has on P99 is correct. These comments paint a clearer picture of his actual HP: Quote:

I just realized that Takish isn't the only mob in PoG that is hitting for wildly inaccurate damage numbers, it looks like Prince Thirneg, Ancient Totem, Undogo Digolo, Treah Greenroot, Fayl Everstrong, Ail the Elder, Rumbleroot, a phase puma, a Gleaming Sphere of Light, keeper of the glades, a guardian power, and probably many more mobs in Plane of Growth also currently have vastly inflated damage numbers on P99, minimum hits in particular. Very strange.
Edit: It looks like the warders in Sleeper's Tomb were probably affected by this aswell?

Takish also hits for 177 on TAKP.
https://www.takproject.net/allaclone/npc.php?id=127035 P99 is probably the only server with this hugely inflated max hit. | ||

Found an old parse from someone tanking Guardian of Takish back in the day
https://web.archive.org/web/20010523...icID=255.topic Total Melee Damage Taken: 11216 Melee damage taken per second: 14.47 Clearly he would've taken a lot more than 11216 damage in a 6 minute fight if Guardian of Takish was hitting for a minimum of 975.

Bump, pretty much everything in PoG other than Tunare hits way harder than it should, the minimum hits are especially weird (P99's Undogo Digolo verifiably has the same min hit as his max hit?!) and there's zero evidence anywhere that these mobs ever hit this hard at our point in the timeline.
I would really be interested to know where whoever populated PoG on P99 got these damage numbers from. Just borrow the mob data from TAKP, TAKP already has the exact min/max hits for these mobs that should still be accurate for P99 since they never changed mob min/max hits at any point after the classic timeline on mobs in our era. I know P99 has borrowed mob data from the TAKP folks before. I'm looking through my logs right now and looking for the highest hit I've been hit for from as many PoG mobs as I can find, and for the trash mobs it's always like 100-200 higher than their max hit on TAKP and Live.
