Default Why do you cling to your inventory?

If you can lose all your inventory so easily by dying in a bad spot or by jumping into a hole, then what is the point of accumulating inventory or wealth in this game? Not only is this game extremely difficult compared to other mmos but it requires a knowledge that is gained steadily by reading like this is some kind of homework to do. You can lose your corpse quite easily by being unaware of an enemy and you don't even know the whole map as a new player.

So why play the game at all and become level 60 get a nice inventory. Is it worth it? Or are you deceiving yourself or just lucky because this was your childhood game and you learned to play it because learning things when you were a child is much easier and now you're a pro in this 1 game and proud of it. I am either too dumb to play this game or too lazy.. this game feels like pure homework to me. Hard maths.

Off the meds again? (I don't mean that perjoratively, I mean it as a real question, in light of previous conversations we've had.)
