Default Druid + Necro Root Rot locations

My friend has come back to p99 and rebooted his 57 necro. I am a 53 druid. I have been charming bats in Sol B, and root rotting Yeti's in Dreadlands for some more casual exp -- but:

We're seeking a location where we can stack up DoTs on mobs and root rot together. He does not want to charm. We tried Sol B, but the bats are too low HP and not great tanks versus the spiders.

We had some success in City of Mist ramparts, but he claims the exp is a little slow for him at 57.

Are there any locations you can think of that would fill this niche? (Elsewise, I'm going to convince him to stay in City of Mist, because it's easy to manage the pulls with harmony)

Or maybe Karnor's basement?

he just needs to learn to charm

a druid buddy is the perfect safety net

you don't need to send HS right off, start in KC basement...theres a nice safe spot right by the stairs to hands

does he have some kind of weird fear of failure? get over it, practice, and use the full class kit

ultimately you will want to wind up in HS north - the ramp is safe

I did COM 2nd as a chanter and I found it was a pain in the ass. Either do HS or KC basement. If you're dead set on root rotting velks spiders could also work but stuff has like 50% more hp in there but you won't get any greens.

Thanks, I don't think I can convince him to charm.

We might try fear-kiting as well, but I have less thoughts about where that is possible at 57, 53... Maybe Burning Woods Giant fort?

Giant fort is 42-46 mobs iirc, same as top trash in COM without the bonus. You could try.

Another one for root rot would be imps around efreeti room in sol B. Mobs are 44-48 in that area.

You could maybe charm dogs in chardok if you wanted but probably a little low for chardok entrance. Another classic is permafrost bear pits but I've never been, can't speak for it.

If you just want to level as fast as possible, try Plane of Mischief rat maze. Assuming it isn't too crowded (not sure how popular the spot is these days), you can use track and root/rot to clear the maze. Respawn time is 72 minutes, but there are a lot of rats in the maze, and root/rotting is a bit slower than other methods of killing. Plane of Mischief is also an outdoor zone.

I soloed my Shaman and SK to 60 in Rat Maze. Grear XP.

Both of you can bind next to the exit tree. That way you don't need to keep getting CoTHed up, and you can Gate + Click tree if you need to zone agro.

I really want to take him to chardok and I'll do the charming, haha. But yeah, I don't think 53 is high enough to ensure minimal charm breaks.

Oh, I forgot about bear pits.

and DeathsSilkyMist -- I might try and buy us some COTHs to PoM [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.] Thanks for the suggestion

53 should be fine for Chardok entrance, especially with a duo. I started there at 54 and felt like I should have started a level earlier.

Giants in GD or EW would be another option for root rotting.

Damn I totally forgot about this.

Chardok ent dogs are 100% reliable charms at your level. Start with Welps, then Growlers, then Sniffers.

Maybe if you do some charming, he can emergency charm on undead stuff further in as he sees how its done.

You guys should definitely make Chardonski your home. Theres money to be made, both druid and undead charms, yeah....send it. By the time you're both 60 you guys will know that zone like the back of your hand. Kinda jelly ngl thats the type of gameplay that makes me want to come back.

Until you get Succor I'd have you both just bind outside. Anytime shit gets too spicy or mistakes are made, just double gate out and start over. Town runs are quick too...port, sell / restock, gate back.

Also bonus points for crawling Chardok natty and disrupting the stupid fucking enchanter train out META. They won't be allowed that shit if you're on the train tracks. Love that.
