Does anyone actively farm A Gargoyle Guardian mobs in Skyshrine Temple?

Hello all, returning EQ player from pre-kunark up until PoP expansion here. Had a question/favor to ask I remember farming Guardian armor for my alts and friends back in the day in Skyshrine and was wondering if anyone actively does that still and wouldn't mind a low level bard scooping up any Guardian gear you don't need? If I remember right they were farmed for giant faction sometimes but I'm not sure if this server really does end game Velious stuff? I'm pretty new to p99, it's been great getting back into EQ!

Hey, people definitely hunt in Skyshrine. Not usually for giant faction, mostly folks farming the wyverns for the Wurm Lord Shawl but also some people killing the gargoyles for a Guardian Robe.

But as a newer player to the server I think prioritizing exp is a better use of your time. You'll earn enough plat on your journey to buy some upgrades in the tunnel and then at 50+ you can join a guild and maybe pick up some gear in the planes/hot/kael, etc. Guardian armor is decent, but pretty rare and not worth sacrificing your progress just to pick up a couple pieces IMO.

i farm guardians, but i delete all the armor so that other people can't have it.

eq is not about attaining pixels, it's about denying pixels

It's not worth the time of trying to farm it, unless you want that specific look. There's better armor that's easier to get. Can always do a /who all [zone] while you're playing though and ask people in the zone if they are killing the guardians.

Most people will offer rots to their guild first and also they are on a short timer so you would have to more or less just sit in the zone. Like other people said there are better uses for your time here.

I think it is notoriously rare and some pieces worst than the others. If you look at the guardian robe threads you'll see people claiming they killed 4000+ guardians and got like 1 bracer and no legs. Some also claim it wasn't nearly as bad on live but it is what it is.
