This will be my last post on the forums.

Is it time well-spent on P99, in game, or on the forums?

The answer is no.

I see some intelligent (sounding) folks that go into depth talking about mechanics of this game (Myself included), and arguing over little nuances, and I cringe at how much time and effort is being put into proving theories about a fucking emulated version of a fucking 27 year old game.

Extrapolate this to the rest of the population. How many people are out there focusing on extremely non-important aspects of life, and neglecting the important stuff. How many kids are on tablets right now watching Roblox players on Twitch because their parents are scrolling through social media arguing with strangers about bullshit?

Yeah this will sound how it sounds but: How many of you know how to get yourself clean drinking water, if the water treatment plants stopped working? How many of you know how to forage for edible mushrooms, plants and fruits? How many of you can fish or hunt? Garden? Farm? Build a shelter? Take care of livestock? How many of you are working on actual fucking skills that are important to being a mammal on the planet Earth? And how many of you are caught up in bullshit?

How many of you have kids? I don't. I sure as fucking all hell wouldn't be on the p99 forums if I did. To those of you who have kids: would you want them to see your interactions with complete strangers on these forums? Are you proud of defending your thesis about efficiency of different weapons? Would you be okay for your loved ones to look through your argument history on these forums and see how "right" you are about completely inconsequential bullshit?

I started on P99 shortly after Covid hit, and I played until this year. 5 years of solid nostalgia trips. I've been sticking around to argue with strangers on these forums, mainly because the world is rapidly declining to shit and I didn't feel like improving myself. Well, I guess you could say I had a change of heart.

For fucks sake, people. Move on. Go touch grass.
