Stormfeather camp in Ice Clad has become a monopoly, and although it may not be possible to prove. I believe the player maintaining the list is boxing.
Grim openly admits it's a "family computer that is logged in 24/7". If you don't want to pay him it takes months to win the map. Personally I have had a toon with lodi map parked there for 4 months waiting to attempt Stormfeather. I purpose banning the selling loot rights for Stormfeather camp. We believe that this rule should be applied to this camp because of the long window. I believe this follows the spirit of Scout roll, ring 8 roll, and angry goblin. This camp should not take four months or more to complete a quest. Just because one player is "maintaining a camp".

Cant it just be a month cooldown per account?

The problem comes from the "camp" nature of this spawn. People feign death at the spawnpoint days prior and never log out, claiming they are camping the spawn, but aren't actually doing anything. They then come back to their PC when the mob is in window and tell everyone around that it was their camp. Maybe it should be a roll.

Yeah, Grim has been at Stormfeather for over a year now. I agree it should either be a roll, or you shouldn't be allowed to sell LR.

It's blatant at this point that players have automated processes. Either hand out bans and suspensions or adjust the rules.
The idea proposed here does the task well. Simply ban selling the loot rights. Same could be do for earth staff and other offending camps. Maybe that'd hurt RMT and that's a nogo. Can't think of other reasons not to enforce this. P99 isn't classic, dragons are rooted because players found ways to exploit the mechanics, how is this any different? How was /list classic? It's time for a change.

Lodi has the same timer, in the same zone, for the same quest, and I can solo Lodi. Why do the 2 camps function differently?

On blue, at least when I camped Stormfeather, it was a list like Ancient Cyclops.
Normally that would force the current player camping to leave when they get their kill. Just get on the list and leave a side computer logged in. Even if the list keeper has an extra boxed player or two in line, you'd eventually get to the top of the list. I got my Stormfeather on a quake. I wasn't first in line, but everyone else in line was AFK. I killed stormfeather and held the corpse for the first player in line. Looted the map myself when there was 30 seconds left on the corpse, and no response.

The problem is the spawn timer is 18 hours with skips. A list for this kind of timer needs you to be logged in all the time. It isn't realistic to ask someone to stay at their computer for 18-54 hours straight. It would be worse if you were allowed to log off, as the list would become a "trust me bro" situation very quickly. People who aren't there could just appear on the list as "logged out". That's just P99. Waiting over a month for a specific raid item isn't uncommon.

Something has to change. If you ban selling loot rights these people that take camps for 90% of the time will just corpse the item and sell the MQ. I don't have a solution, but the way it is right now when someone has a camp for 90% of the time it's just incredibly not fun. Maybe do what Maddus mentioned and make there be a cooldown per account?
