Killing a mob does not get faction point anymore, stuck at "indifferent"

Hello,

I've been killing barbarian mercenaries (in WL) to raise my Coldain faction.

It was working fine, but recently I stopped seeing the "Your faction standing with Coldain got better" message when I kill them (since today).

When I consider Thugardin guard, I m "indifferent". (was dubious before). Seems I m stuck at "indifferent"

The message 'coldain faction could not get better" is not displayed too.

It does not mention the Coldain faction anymore at all.

Any idea?

Were you in Wolf Form? Wolf form lowers Coldain faction by a large chunk. If so, I'll bet you'll be Ally if you click it off.

Were you invisible while conning? You will always con indifferent to mobs that cannot see invis while you are invisible.

From my understanding, you need to be on the mob's hate list to get faction hits when they die. So removing yourself from the hate list in some manner before the mob dies would cause you to not get faction hit.

As a simple example, if you DoT a mob, and Feign Death right before the mob dies from the DoT, you will not recieve faction hits when the mob dies.
