Iksar Warrior Armor Guide?

Are there any iksar warrior armor guides out there? Seems a difficult character to gear.

Velious gear generally does not restrict Iksars. Your main loss comes from not being able to use Cobalt Armor.

Obviously recommended gear varies based on how much Platinum and/or DKP you want to spend.

Start out with banded mail. Ask around cabilis if anyone is able to craft it. I have an iksar toon that can, but they are kinda stuck somewhere for awhile. After that, look up the trooper scale quests

Banded + fungi. Legionnaire scale from hate or thurg at 46.

Iksars have shit stats all over pretty much so you'll waant sta/hp.

Crystal chitin armplates.
Blood runed gauntlets/girdle depending on budget.
Dragon tooth choker is pretty much my go to before 6 necks.

If you have friends you could get HGLs and spend an evening in platehouse to get geared up on the cheap. Most of the champion armor is decent.

according to DSM iksar war should be BiS because of AC



@op - if you're going to be soloing for extended periods into your 40s and 50s you may want to consider gnome for self haste

Where did you see me say that?

An Iksar Warrior in full BiS gear would have a slight edge stat-wise, due to having innate regen and a bit more AC. AC Softcaps exist however, so an Iksar would really only be getting about 16 more AC compared to other races in full BiS gear.

That doesn't mean innate regen and an extra 16 AC are necessarily better than FSI/Ogre Wall when it comes to raid tanking, for example.
