Shiny Robe of the Underfoot
I'm not entirely certain if this is a classic quest or not as I never visited the original Ruins of Old Paineel much (although the comments on alla discussing it are pre-revamp so it should be), but in The Hole there's a quest involving Kejar the Mighty, codenamed "Shiny Robe of the Underfoot", where you turn in a Shining Metallic Robes and receive a quest reward of either Shiny Hunk of Metal or Shiny Robe of the Underfoot.
When I did the turn-in today as a Halfling Rogue (Deity: Bristlebane) with hide and sneak on, Kejar did not reward me with either item, nor did he return my Shining Metallic Robes. Instead he ate my robe, turned around, and one-rounded me. Fun times. Anyway, just bringing this to your attention since I think this quest may be broken and should be looked into. If it's not classic, then maybe the NPC should return any robes that are handed to him (isn't this what usually happens when you hand items to non-quest npc's?) instead of eating them. thxu for your time and for shaere

I think it was active when epics went in (could be wrong) however I know it was active some time between Hole opening and Velious becuz I wore it on Live prior to getting my ToV robe.

i tried digging around the day after i made this post, but nothing i found could gave conclusive evidence one way or the other. the archive.org pages for the robe/the quest/the hole listing the quest availability on alla and everlore all were dated after the first available comment on the current alla, so that wasn't helpful at all.
item statistic balance-wise, it would seem like this quest should be in currently. it's comparable to a froglok bonecaster's robe, but sacrifices 5str 1int 10mana for the cost of 2ac and 10sv cold. and considering the chances of receiving the robe as a reward (50/50 confirmed pretty much everywhere), the risk vs. reward isn't really imbalanced for the current timeline either. anyway, no real evidence here, just more guessing.

anyone else try turning in an smr and get a different result? the wiki has the quest as active, but i'm not willing to risk another 3k just to test it.
