Smartest/Soonest way for a newb Human Bard to get vision better than what he's given?

Haven't really played much on p99 but going to play red99 for sure, hoping someone can tell me what my best bet is to gain some item for better than human vision for a Bard and about what level I can hope to get that item?

I just want to see "better" than the standard Human... items with "serpent sight" or whatever would suit me well. Because I'm a whiner. Because I enjoy seeing beyond 12 feet in some places where a DE can see the whole thing. I don't think it's a "problem"... when I played back in the day as a human chanter, I think my biggest sigh of relief was getting a Serpent Sight item for him to where I didn't load up my buff for it.

Gamma setting in Options?? A lot of Shields have a good lightsource built into them.

Yes, I'm a newb and yes I'm aware that a lightstone gives a little light *around* me... I want to see further. Yes, I've done the gamma and *nothing* is wrong there either. I mentioned I was going Bard so a shield just makes it a hassle...

So I'm back to my question, any items for Serpent Sight and the like? I can't remember anything about these items anymore.

This will grant you ultravision. Dark Elf illusion form comes with upgraded vision. Sneak/hide your way in, and wait for it to drop. There will eventually be one rotting for you to take. It would be even easier if you had a high level friend at the camp to help you get it.

I have a Human Monk I don't see that much problem with Vision on it??

Yes the DE Mask would help alot but then you are KoS.I can't think of a item that does what you need as a Bard other than the Mask sorry.

The mask doesn't automatically make you KOS, just like it doesn't automatically make you friendly to Neriak.
