Not classic.

I will not travel on a boat ever again, they should call it the shank boat or something.

I remember being able to hit in melee on boats back in the day, it was a matter of being able to actually see them in real-time as opposed to you just seeing where they used to be due to the horrible boat latency.

I'm sure if being on a boat didnt make you ghost all over, there would've been far more deaths back on vz/sz while riding boats.

Default it is classic

In classic I would board boat with levitate up then blow up the melees through the walls of the ship as I followed the boat to the 1st island.

That probably won't work with the LOS code on this server, but to answer the question, you could never cast while on the boat. Trivial anyhow. Lev, hop off the boat, and follow it into port.

I don't know if it was classic to be able to attack on boats, but it was definitely in by Kunark. And casters could not cast because they got seasick, apparently.

If you want to talk about classic, bring back the classic ship. This is a modified ship. Allow casting.

Casting spells is not part of the classic experience. The salty air inhibits your memory of scribed spells.

guessing lazy coding by sony (aka verant) and the velocity of boats/channeling issues. lazy solutions: you can either be able to run around and cast on boats or no casting at all
