Thumbs down Casters need no finishing LoS

Current: Casters do not need line of site to finish spell. This is how it currently is on live, but it was patched WAY, WAY later.

Classic: Casters need line of sight to cast and finish.

Related Question: Did bards ever need to finish with line of sight for songs?

Line of sight changed over time on live, with one point you could cast from the top of highkeep on people in the basement etc.

The compromise for here was start needs LoS, and if LoS is broken at end of cast, the range is reduced by 50% then checkd. Allegedly.

Range reduced... Good compromise.

Actually in classic, casters needed no line of sight at any point. The target just couldn't be under water [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.].

I think how it is is a compromise now. I don't think casting through walls is a good thing to put back in and wasn't probably intended. I leave it up to staff based on my previous infos above.

The point that needs to be fixed is mage bolts not breaking because of collision (line of sight/wall or otherwise).
