NPC Spawn Issue: Naxot Deepwater/Ixiblat Fer

It is my understanding that Naxot Deepwater in Burning Wood despawns after one cleric turns in Ornate Sea Shell (II); this is not classic as she is supposed to be rootable, mem blurable and/or charmable and not despawn after a turn in allowing multiple clerics to spawn Ixiblat Fer multiple times in the 36 minute window that Naxot Deepwater is spawned.

Get ready because here comes your first real "epic" fight. Head to Burning Woods (it's probably off of SolB this week hehehe... *cough* back to the walkthrough) and find Naxot Deepwater (3400, -2150). She tends to pop around 6pm and despawn around 6am but those are serious approximations. Also, Naxot can no longer be rooted to stop her from suiciding which, in the past, allowed for multiple turnins. Naxot now depops on handing in so you must wait a full game day between Ixiblats. Hand her Ornate Sea Shell(II) and she will hand you Message to Natasha.

We kept him alive by just rooting/atoneing him and killing Ixibalt, then sending another cleric over to hand in their component and root atone again, for the next cleric :P

You can take him down as many times as you want, with ease. A tip, Pull Naxot to BW zone and plant her right at the zone with an enchanter and have the enchanter keep her Charmed the whole time.

2) Naxot will indeed charge Ixiblat, all the way across the zone. If you want to keep him alive, have a bard/chanter charm him.

Keeping him alive allows other clerics to turn in and spawn Ixi as many times as you need, so multiple clercs can get the sceptre.

Naxot changed at some point after April 2001 as evidenced by these new encounter notes

On Xegony, we did Ixiblat 5 times on yesterday. Naxot Deepwater now will despawn after you hand in the seashell. During the 5 kills, we tried mez and charm and not doing anything. She despawn right away after hand in, so no more back to back spawning of Ixiblat anymore. Instead it is now 1 hour gap for every kill.

3) She DOES despawn now after each hand in. We tried to keep her from despawning for 'chain' hand in's but we had no luck. We thought we could hold her there as she stays for a few seconds after the turn in. We tried the usual methods like mezzing her, protecting her, etc. No luck so we had to wait for each re-spawn.

Confirmed that Naxot despawns after handing in ornate sea shell (II) here on P99.

Should not be the case as of yet.
