Default EQ locking up

I just dl underfoot from steam and followed all the directions except getting some original files from dling the free trial. I can get to the log in screen and pick a server. I've tried both project 1999 servers, but every time I click to play, EQ locks up. I'm using a toshiba laptop with intel core i5 cpu m480 @ 2.67GHz.

I am having this issue too but I suspect it's because Underfoot is a much more recent version of the communication functions used to connect to the server. The "Getting Started" guide calls for Titanium, which is quite a bit older.

Hopefully there is a work around. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

'99 only supports titanium now, any other install is destined to fail
Some other servers use SoF OR Titanium, but i found is just better to stay with titanium all around.

Thanks for the info. They should change the instructions on getting started. I'll have to get titanium and try again.

The Getting Started thread covered this pretty well, I thought.
