![]() Hey guys, I was talking to someone on Red in game the other day casually, and when they found out that I played a Human Warrior they pretty much told me that Humans were the 2nd worst warriors in the game and that due to the lack of the slam ability in PvP and inferior stats to all the other races, and that the only worse race are Dark Elves. So pretty much my decision choice was narrowed down to just delete my character and roll an Ogre, even though kick causes a stun effect at level 55 in Kunark.
So basically, for times when my friends aren't on Red I decided to re-roll a Warrior on blue and start over from scratch. Now here's the twist. I am a big under dog kind of guy and I always like to take the less chosen paths in life and I don't really like to follow the crowd. So I kinda looked at it like a challenge (since he claimed that even in PvE they are not that good), I enjoy when things aren't easy and I think adversity adds to the feeling of accomplishment you get out of a game when you do something that others deem to be hard to do or that you shouldn't do. So basically I want to play a Human warrior and try to prove that any race with enough skill and decent gear can tank at the high end. But at the same time I remembered him mentioning that Dark Elves were even worse than Humans. So that leads me to my final question. Should I make a Human or a Dark Elf? I expect to get trolled and have a lot of people will just post a few words and just say "play a large race." but I believe that each player should choose what appeals to them and their play style no matter how weird or different that play style is. Even though I don't actually RP in game I care about things like what deity my character chooses, even though nobody else may care at all. Anyway, just these forums would be a good place to bring this up since I don't have any RL friends that play Everquest to talk to about it, not to mention everyone in my Skype group plays other games. So thanks for reading my post guys and you all have a great day / evening. | ||
