Unhappy Spell file out of date? EQ EMU launcher doesn't work

So I've tried reinstalling after a break from eqemu and with a clean titanium install. I proceed to use the EQEmulauncher which will not connect? I select P99 and hit connect and it says:

"Downloading files. blah blah blah"
"Downloading: /dsetup.dll - unknown"

then a popup appears with "Unknown error. The launcher stopped working. Please contact moe@blahblah and add all the .txt files in your eqemulauncher directory."

No biggie I think and proceed to find a work around - I try using Duxa's to see if that works. Same problem when I get to the eqemu launcher. So I go through the old school route of manually editing the eqhost.txt and adding patchme and all that fun stuff however when I log on to the character creation screen I get the char slots saying out of date spell file. /sigh .. so I start to look for the spell file to manually add it in to the directory (like the old days). I find the .zip containing the changes found http://www.project1999.org/forums/sh...ad.php?t=76962 and download it. I get a trojan virus warning but I shrug it off (seeing others report the same thing somewhere else i think) and proceed to open the zip. The zip is corrupted so I can't get into it to get the spells file.

any suggestions? anyone feel kind enough to upload the current spell file to dropbox or something and send me the download link or something? [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

I wish the option not to use the broken eqemu launcher was available [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]
