Default Graphics issue and getting booted to desktop

I have an issue where I go from running normally to suddenly floating like a ghost. I'll be running and casting spells normally but then I will set down to med and it will appear as though I am still sitting even though I am moving around and killings things, and then the mobs will look as though they are stuck. I don't have any mods or anything to ui. And then a little bit ago, I was running through Qeynos Hills and suddenly got booted to desktop. Any ideas? I have scanned all the EQ folders and nothing appears to be corrupted. I am using Vista service pack 2.

Default Running a Dual Core+ Processor?

If you are running on Dual Core or higher, try changing the compatibility mode of the game (right click everquest, properties, compatibility, check "run this program in compatibility mode", choose windows 95 or 2000 or whatever floats your boat..

Might fix it.

I have tried that and it hasn't worked. I am going to try reinstall and see if that helps. Thanks for the advice!

Also tabbing to the desktop and going into task manager under the processes tab for eqgame.exe and right clicking "affinity" and selecting just one core may help. It helped me when someone suggested it on the forums a few weeks ago.
