Default Quad kiting as a druid

Hey

I was not finding a group in all the overcamped areas so i thought id give that a try. I did it easy from lvl23 as a wizard on live but here its not happening. Tried on spectres at lvl45 and ran out of mana with them at 70% health using lvl39 spell avalanche, any tips?

Get a chanter to follow you and keep your mana topped up, I guess. You could space out your nukes more, let yourself aget a bit of regen in here and there.

/shrug

I never was a kiting kinda guy.

You're using the rain spell instead of the quad AE spell. The quad spells all have lightning in the name, I think, for druids.

Edit - Lightning strike (34) and Lightning Blast (49) and then Fist of Karana (58)

Ya, snare + lightning strike.

At lvl 45 you should get a half blue per quad kite, i did most of lvl 45 quading specs.

I played a wizard on live, and a druid here on P99 and I'll let you in on a little "secret" that makes quite a difference when kiting (and in many other situations where mana is a factor).

The game updates your mana recovery in intervals of 6 seconds. Within that time your mana will tick up once and readjust once at an amount dependant on your buffs, level and whether you are sitting down or standing. What this means is that once you adjust to the rhythm of "tick" and adjustment - which varies within those 6 seconds - you can run, cast, sit, cast, (sit shortly again if your cast time is <6 secs), run, sit and so on, effectively regaining mana as if you were sitting down while kiting. With this technique you will save at least 40% mana and the total kite time will only be minimally affected, once you master the method.

Stay away from Oggok guards if your quading, new pathing sucks.

I wouldn't try to quad before you get ensnare as a druid, snare just doesn't last long enough. I'd root/rot then. I know you have it, but it was for any other druids reading the post.

Also, some zones can support a group of 2-3 quadders together.
