[Qaedain]

I'm a veteran EQ player (started in '99, played through '04), and like most, I got sucked right back into EverQuest when I was told about P99.

Like last time, I am playing an HIE Mage named Qaedain. As a Mage, I'm in no desperate need of items without stats other than AC (pet tanks), so I simply sell all of the cloth armor I receive to get that little bit of extra plat for my spells.

In that regard, I was sitting in Felwithe in front of the Mage spell vendors, and Whatcha asked me if this was my main. I said that it was, and I explained why I was (mostly) naked: trying to keep my money reserves up to cover the plat needed for spells!

Out of pure generosity, he (she?) dropped 30 plat into the trade window and sent it off.

Some may not think twice about 30 plat, but anyone who remembers how hard it can be to keep your reserves up at a low level knows it's a big deal.
