Game Mechanics: Character Creation problem

I am trying to create a new character (halfling ranger). Everything goes well until I chose a name and click on the NEXT button. It then says the "Submitting name...." then something about Glooming Deep or something similar then disconnected. I've created characters before with no issue. Any idea what might have gotten changed?

cant make halfling rangers or pals

also cant make gnome sk/pals

i had same problem when i first tried p99. i tried making 7 different halfling with different names lol
