Seems like de-monopolizing raid targets and including a competitive simulated patch day is helping this server thrive.

A few months ago I couldn't get a group while leveling in LoIO, on week nights there are constantly 30+ people there now leveling. OT is a happening place with lots of groups and new players are coming in droves.

It's going to be nuts when Velious comes out if we're getting this type of population on 3 year old Kunark content.
Your post makes no sense. you're saying because of the raid changes the server is thriving based on more people in lower level zones that isn't raid content? 0.0

The raid changes are in fact *not* classic. The server is doing well because its classic EQ and the only source for people to get that experience. Taking the competition out of end game takes away from the spirit of most peoples original EQ raiding experience.

ps. its winter

pps. forced rotation, whats next instances for guilds personal conent?

Some of these people should play red. 1300 people is over crowded. Lines to camp items, exp spots completely clogged... took me 2 hours just get forager/hunter TT cycle the other day because of the people.

didn't EQ back then had 2500 players during prime time on the higher populated servers?

The post was made during a simulated repop, hence the raid target comment. Since guilds are limited to the number of mobs they can kill it means more people will log on in other guilds to get shots at mobs.

The comment about LOIO was made in reference to just how populated the lower areas are atm, there was considerably more people on last night than normal.

Who cares? If this means more ppl get to actually experience end game raid experience then it not being classic means exactly dick to most people.

Nah, I am just making an assumption that now that your guild can't monopolize all raid content, that all those people who get to actually experience that content could care less that your epeen got a little shorter.

How's the server handling it? Any lag issues?
None that I've noticed.

Had almost a FG in Kerra Isle last night and we had the entire zone to ourselves. Befallen (with one of if not the highest ZEM in the game) almost empty. Najena too. Highpass, like 3 to 4 people.

/who all unrest
too many players to be listed

/who all guktop
too many players to be listed

spread out people
