I think I made a boo boo. Login troubles

Good morning everyone!

Hope everyone is a safe and happy. So I decided to get back into EQ99 now that I have the time to commit to a MMO. So excited. Used to play when it first came out, way back in the 90's. Still my favorite MMO. This game doesn't hold your hand. Throws your ass into the ocean and says "swim to safety or die".

Anyways. I reinstalled everything. Patched up everything and tried to login....a few times. Forgot my password I guess. Tried a bunch of non worked. Came on the forums to reset my password. Gotta have my SMS verified, makes total sense. Go to do that and got the message "Your account is locked due to many failed attempts. You must wait a bit and try again".

So that was last night and about 8 hours has passed. So...I guess my question is. How long is "a bit"?
