Default Suggestions from the cheap seats

- Failed to open C:\Program Files (x86)\Sony\EverQuest\GlobalDRK_chr.s3d.
There is no GlobalDRK_chr.s3d so you have either failed to include a file in the release package, or you have typo'ed on an open request.

- ERROR: World did not drop the connection.
This message appears to indicate that your network handshaking has broken down with the server not responding to a close connection request and therefore it assumes the client is still in sync. This is probably the section that screams the loudest for fixing.

Temporary fix, but if you download Hotspot shield, it fixes all of these problems you guys are posting about. I have ATT, and I'm fairly convinced that seems to be the problem, there is a signal dropped somewhere between their servers and the EQEMU server. The zoning may be something similar.

I've had all of those problems, login server down, blank login screen, login screen visible but just timing out, character screen saying i need to update spell files even though I have like 85 times, getting character select screen, but having game crash before I get into game, once I finally managed to get in the game, whenever I zone the game locks up and dc's me. I run this program, and it seems to work, I know its not a permanent fix, but it seems to allow me to play. Better than taking 20 minutes to connect and then not being able to zone.

So I got into a chain crash today trying to log into my dev server. Every single time I entered from char select, I crashed after the loading bar finished. I ended up deleting my UI_Rogean_<servername>.ini file and then I was able to get back in.

where do you find that file to delete? one of my characters crashed zoning into SolA and I crash everytime I try to load that character, although I can load others on the same account without crashing. posted on the stuck character forum but have yet to hear anything.

Didn't work. Also the file mentioned is not in the program files directory, but rather the application data. Thanks anyway. Will delete the character instead...
